The sixpence (6d) (Irish: réal) coin was a subdivision of the pre-decimal Irish Pound, worth 1/40 of a pound or ½ of a shilling. The Irish name (réal) is derived from the Spanish 'real'. The intricate design features a hound on one side, and a musical harp on the reverse.

The sixpence coin charm is worn with a 18 inch curb chain necklace. As with all Katie Mullally designs, the charm is collectable and can be delicately layered with other pieces. The charms and chains are all solid sterling silver. An ideal gift for someone who loves Ireland.
